Same experience. I was in Berlin last summer, and same thing happened to me. In the end I had to ask a nearby Holiday Inn where I could find a café with wireless access (not an *Internet café*). They finally got it, and I ended up at an okay restaurant every evening. Wireless access was Eur 2,00.- per hour. Way expensive, but at least better than the Eur 2,00.- per *15 minutes* charged by Deutsche Telekom at Starbucks…
And the restaurant got nice soup, salad and lasagna too.
good for you. at least it has good food.
sigh, really orz right now
