Christopher Fahey on Interaction Design Style
七月初開始實習以後,通勤到家完以後累的不想動大腦,好一陣子沒有更新,實在抱歉。
從老闆的書籤裡面發現Christopher Fahey應互動設計協會( IxDA )的紐約分會邀請,請他把今年初在賭城拉斯維加斯舉辦的IASummit 2007上面講的簡報再次大家分享。
Chris是紐約頗有名氣的設計公司Behavior的創辦人之一,另外一個大概是各位有在讀設計
blog朋友們可能已經知道的Khoi Vinh,他現在在紐約時報當設計總監,也是AIGA的紐約分會的會長。
言歸正傳,Chris的講題叫做《互動設計的風格》(Interaction Design Style)。簡報有大概兩百多 張,大部份都很易懂,看圖大概就知道在講甚麼。可能就只有開頭和後段幾張沒有說明的話, 不解說一下可能會不太清楚再講啥,我簡單的講交代一下脈絡。 開頭的第4、5頁,是以Stewart Brand (註1) 在 IASummit 2003年 keynote圖片來解說,在時間的洪流裡,Culture、Governance、Infrastructure、Commerce、和Fashion變化的速度。文化是最慢的,而流行時尚變的最快。接下來的第6、7頁,則就用了Stewart Brand自己的quote來解說。接下來,是Chris跟演講當場的觀眾說明他的出發點。他並不是以非常技術面的角度出發(第8頁),但是他也不是所謂的極端主義者(第9頁)。剩下的簡報就非常self-explanatory。 因為演講簡報是英文,以下是濃縮大綱,用英文呈現.

我必須說,在這些看似易懂的簡報後面, Chris Fahey花了很多時間思考怎麼樣把這些 bits 和 pieces 放在一起,他甚至也簡單的分享了他"設計"這場簡報的過程,其實就是在修改再修改,以及在agile和waterfall模式之間轉換. 簡報內所有的書單,和設計師名字可以直接可以在這裡找到.他的簡報有pdf檔供人下載,如果你只是想偷瞄一下,他也慷慨的放上了slideshare.
那天聽的場次好像有多加了一兩張,但是基本上跟這份簡報是一樣的.如果有看不懂的部分歡迎提出,

註1, Stewart Brand就是辦了那份Whole Earth Catalog的人,也是有名THE WELL的創辦人之一,他還寫了一本有關MIT Media Lab的書,一個曾經參與過合法LSD的研究的資訊老嬉皮,有興趣請自己去wikipedia看看.
